Durhamstown Castle Wedding Photography – Leah & Simon

      Wedding Date: August 2017

As I sit typing this long overdue blog up we’re right in the middle of “The Beast from the East”/Storm Emma. For those in the future who do not know what I’m referring to, it’s basically a time in Ireland when some snow and wind happened and everyone went mental and stocked up on bread. Lots of bread. There was then a bread shortage and people ate their pets.

It’s cold and unpleasant out there so I wanted to delve back into last years weddings and find a wedding filled with warmth, colour, family and love. Lots to pick from but I couldn’t resist sharing Leah & Simon’s gorgeous Durhamstown Castle wedding from last August. Not content to simply hire a planner or outsource the majority of the details, Leah took on the role herself and event managed the S**T out of her wedding. Pretty much all the lovely, personal touches below are courtesy of the bride. Respect!

When you arrive in the morning to find there are six bridesmaids you know you’re in for a fun day. That’s six (6) bridesmaids. SIX. All completely mental and full of champagne. Impromptu dancing occurred. The whole day was a blur of fun, festivities, friends, fire (a nice one in the evening like) and family and it was a privilege to capture. Here’s to more sunny days and lots of bread for everyone.
